“Behold, as the eyes of the servant…”/Missionary Field Report/Liberia, West Africa

“To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!  Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God,……” Psalms 123: 1-2.

Silvanus International Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit based in Liberia. We provide ministry opportunities in Christian education, adult literacy, after school programming and performing arts.  We recently relocated our home-based ministry and acquired a duplex in the Bernards Farm Community. We named the new site Silvanus House, an educational, information and resource center for students of all ages.

Silvanus International extends a special thank you to all those who have supported us during our latest fundraising efforts, “Equipping One Generation for the Next!” To date we have raised $1260 in cash and $4000 in donated goods to open Silvanus House in the Bernards Farm Community.  This has allowed us to obtain and create a rich stimulating environment for learning.

Once the lease and painting was completed (PHASE I, “Secure the Area” ) we needed furniture. (PHASE II, “Begin to Build.” )

We are pleased to announce receiving a  major donation of furniture from the West African School of Missions and Theology (WASMAT). 3 office desks, 2 large reading tables, 22 chairs, 1 book shelf, 1 pulpit, 60 books, were picked up on August 30, 2013!

We praise God for Rev. David Chea and WASMAT for this much needed donation.

PHASE III,” Silvanus Connect, We Launch!”

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to purchase additional furniture, textbooks, meet our staffing, administration  and operational expenses.

Silvanus connects the churched and unchurched through innovative programs designed to provide opportunities to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. With your help we will make this goal.
