Womens Conference, African Style: Missionary Field Report/Liberia, West Africa

1 Samuel 2:1 Then Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance.

“There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

 “Turning frustration into Joy”

was the theme for the Bethel World National Womens Conference, 2012.

SHALOCA (sharing, loving and caring) is the foundation Women’s theme.

Our Thanksgiving Service was held at at Bethel Cathedral of Hope, Sinkor, December 2, 2012.  The guest speaker from Cameroon, Rev. Martha Rahma, told us that a woman who is insecure, dissatisfied and feeling worthless is a frustrated woman. She examined the life of Hannah for our encouragement and strength.

Over 1000 women convened on Bushrod Island, at the Jamaica Road Bethel branch, November 28-December 1, 2012.  The four-day power packed conference sessions included marriage, children and women’s, physical and spiritual health.

Each woman purchased the same lappa for $15 US for the Thanksgiving service. The pictures give a snapshot of the various individual styles we sewed our lappa suits.

I was privileged to present a portion of the Health & Fitness. I took the  ladies through  a 30 minute “Praisercize”© exercise routine. Special thank you to Carla Baxter and Gustana Chaney of Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A. for my Praisersize classes years ago. We spent the final sixty minutes of my segment discussing eating and cooking for good health.

To God be the Glory, great things He has done!

Sis Hattie
